The existing stack was no longer supporting the business well. Generic platform constraints made shipping management and operational control harder than they should have been.
Approach
- Reviewed where the old Shopify and WordPress setup was blocking growth and mapped the flows that actually needed to be custom.
- Built the new commerce experience around the business workflow rather than forcing the workflow to fit plugin limitations.
- Added shipping and fulfilment control directly into the operating system of the business.
- Planned migration carefully so the business could move platforms without unnecessary disruption.
